Since I am currently exploring the great state of Arizona, I thought this would be an appropriate image for the August Wallpaper.

I shot it last year from Doyle Saddle- looking across the Inner Basin to Humphreys Peak. Humphreys Peak is the highest point in Arizona with an elevation of 12,637ft. I’d wanted to summit the mountain ever since a few friends and I nearly reached the top in our winter attempt of 2011. So, last spring I decided to take the long way up Humphreys. I left the Schultz Tank Trailhead late in the afternoon and made my way up through the Aspen Groves on the old Weatherford Trail. I set up camp at Doyle Saddle (elevation 10,800ft) and had quite a view that night. That is where this image was created.
